EQ7

So any one have any thoughts on EQ7? I got it in my mind that I want it :-). My mom told me she'd buy for my bday since I've not really asked for anything yet. When shopping this weekend, we saw that the local store carries it. My mom asked about the price and the girl said it's eligible for the birthday discount (1/3 of your age percent off). So my early birthday present is turning into a late present :-(. Oh well, it's not like I need to design any quilts right now. I've got plenty of other patterns to choose from.

So the question for y'all, is, do I need EQ7? Pros/cons of using? Please share!

  1. I would say that you need it. Either that or EQ6. Since you don't buy patterns and you make your own designs, it is a heck of a lot easier to use EQ than a pencil and graph paper. I was really happy with EQ6 and had to upgrade (what a hardship!! lol) when my hard drive crashed. I'm liking EQ7, too!

Just imagine what you can design!

If you want to test drive, I know of one local shop here that has a computer set up and they let you 'drive' to get a feel for it. But if you want to learn how to use it, read the manual to get the straight info.

Of course, I would let you test drive on my version, too. :)

  2. I concur with Jill - just bought it for myself after playing around with my mom's EQ5 for a while. I think with your computer aptitude, you'd pick it up quickly and go to town!
