stash report

No change this week. Comprehensive exam was yesterday, so any and all free time this past week was spent studying. Then I treated my nephew to a big-boy visit last night and today. We baked chocolate chip cookies and took them to go visit the fire truck at the fire station. Now I'm back home and looking forward to a stress-free week since I'm done with school :-)

smile pretty for the camera!

GradFest was this week. I had to go to campus for all of 20 minutes to take a picture and pick up my cap, gown, and hood :-D. Dec. 18th, 2010 - bring it on!

Any Helpers?

Does anyone want to help me with my paper? I would like to have a couple of eyes read over it to check for proofreading/logical flow of the report. It's 22 pages double spaced (what can I say, I like to talk, lol) though about 3 pages are graphics.

The report is due on Thursday, but I am planning on turning it in on Wednesday since I have to drive down to campus (45 minutes each way) and hand deliver a professionally bound copy before the office closes at 4pm. So I would need any corrections/recommendations by tomorrow evening, say around 8 pm, so I can incorporate them into the report.

If you decide to help me, please explain why you are suggesting a correction/recommendation so that I can improve myself as a writer.

If you're good at proofreading or know APA style very well and would like to proofread it, leave me a comment. If your email is set to "no reply" you'll need to leave your email address in the comment.

Thanks,

I NEED HELP! Please help me out :-)

Dear Blog Readers,

For those of you who don't know, I am currently working on my M.S. in Applied Computing, concentrating in Software Engineering and Business Computing. As part of my business classes, I am taking Strategic Business Corporations. For this course, I am doing a report and presentation that analyzes Google searches. I have created a survey to help me understand people's use of Google. If you could take this survey for me I would really appreciate it. Also, if you don't mind asking others in your household or friends to take the survey, please do so. Feel free to share the link with as many people as possible.

Here is the link: Click here to take survey

Thank you so much!

Trominoes

Who thinks this would make a good quilt pattern?

It's called Trominoes and it's my latest project for school. We had to write a recursive program that would cover a 2^n X 2^n board with trominoes, leaving blank only one square. And guess what? It's done and it's only Monday and the project is not due until Thursday :-).

Coming Soon to a mail box probably not near you...

Here are my BOM blocks. I was behind and am late getting the August block in. It is the oriental xquisite block. The September block is the churn dash. The floral Jacob's Ladder are the "thank you" blocks we send to the organizers of the swap.

I'm not too sure how much sewing I'll get in this weekend. I'm suppose to be babysitting Bubby and Bubba starting this afternoon, but my sister called and said both are home sick from daycare. So, one of the benefits of being an Aunt is being able to say, "No, not coming, they need their momma!" We'll see if my mom and I can get them tomorrow for the rest of the long weekend. School work's also picking up and my first homeworks are due next week, so I do need to dedicate some time to them. If I sew any, hopefully I'll get to post.

Have a great weekend!

driving, driving, driving

me crazy! I get to campus, check me email, check Blackboard for class notes (not up yet), and took an accounting quiz. Then I headed to my classroom to claim my seat - this is the class with 31 students and only 30 desks. I'm certainly not going to be the one that has to cart a desk in, lol. Two other students came in shortly after me and then a third one stuck his head in the door saying class had been canceled. He said he got an email. The guy sitting behind me checked his email on his cell phone. Yep, the department secretary had sent an email saying class was canceled. So two classmates and one's friend and I went out for Mexican. I'm home now, checked my stuff online, and now heading up to sew and get ready to do it all again tomorrow.

Almost done

Last night was my last class for summer term. Our professor bought us pizza :-D. Both groups presented their projects. Surprisingly, ours actually worked. It was rough, but it worked :-D. I still have to write a paper for that class, but since grades aren't due until August he's letting us (all of us) turn it in next Friday instead of today when "Summer 1st 8 wk term" officially ends. Grades have not yet been posted for the other class yet, but I'm confident I got my A.

July Block done!

You guessed it, I'm again avoiding my term paper. So here's what I sewed tonight - it's my July BOM and today is only the 4th! (Okay, I just looked at the clock at it's 12:13 AM on the 5th) Wow, I must be sick or something. June's was mailed July 1st and May's June 29th. Two pics to show - one of the FQ (actually FQ leftovers) that I used for my print and one of the block. I liked how it turned out. I'm interested to see what others do with the directions. They stated, "Use a medium print with a minimal amount of background that contrasts with the Moda Swirls Natural fabric. Think fruits, veggies, flowers, leaves, anything that reminds you of autumn." So does mine pass the test? I think so.

Goodbye My Friends .....

At least until Saturday, July 11, 12:00 AM.

My professor assigned a term paper tonight. That's right, TWO weeks before the end of summer term!!!!! On top of a group project that can only be done on a campus computer!!!!!!! My laptop using campus wireless is not sufficient. So unless you are an expert on Web Engineering, this is your notice. You will not be seeing me.

Thank you, and have a good two weeks and a day.

Anyone want a gui? Gui's for sale!!!! Come get them before they're gone!

Can you tell that I'm just a gui-crazy today? We're working on the Gui's for our group project for Web Engineering.

No bouncing balls though :-(.
